Buying New Tires

I was in the market for buying new car tires yesterday. I did something I normally don't do, shop around. I'm wondering why I don't do this more often, I saved over $65 within a few minutes.

So check this out. I called up Discount Tire and asked for a quote for my Toyota Camry. The first quote I received was $279. I then proceed to call Evans Tire and mention what Discount Tire's quote was, Evans then quoted me $260. I did this a few more times, until I came to a quote of $213 out the door from Discount Tire.

I have to admit this was my first time ever doing this for tires and I'm now kicking myself for not doing more often. With this economy, everyone is trying beat prices. Take that extra few minutes. Who know's you might save more than you think.
